What do you need to know about my event?
- It's simple: we pride ourselves in providing the best experience for your guests, so they'll remember you as a phenomenal host. Regardless of the type of event you are hosting, our top three priorities are:
- Sanitation: Our paintbrushes are sanitized between every guest. We never use hair styling tools more than once - every guest gets a new comb and styling accessories. We won't work with sick or crying people, or with open sores, rashes, or dirty faces!
- Happy Guests: We want your guests to think highly of you and your event. We know how much effort you put in to showing everyone a good time. Your guests should leave our make-over chair feeling like stars in your show. We can also help keep crowds under control, by providing entertainment in a small area away from the main event. (That's why we are great for festivals and weddings!)
- Theming: We want to be an accessory to your vision, not just something shoved into the event as a distraction for guests. We will do our utmost to match your colors, theme and general vision. If you have specific needs, please let us know, and we will do our best to help make your vision a reality!
Do you do "just face painting"?
- Yes, we offer face painting services on their own, but we can also do so much more!
- For the same price as "just face painting", we can offer face painting + festival glitter + glitter tattoos!
But... what do you DO?
- At its most basic, we entertain your guests, keeping them happy and aiding crowd-control. Our goal is to turn your guests into characters within the story of your event. That is why theming is so important to us! More specifically, we provide any or all of the following services:
- face painting
- glitter tattoos
- novelty hair styling
- temporary hair color
- festival glitter
- festival hair extensions
- jewel application
- glitter beards
Okay, and what is "novelty hair"?
- Novelty hair is fun hair styling themed to your event. For example, at a birthday party we may turn your space buns into two cupcakes. For Halloween we might give you one giant bun painted orange to look like a pumpkin, or turn your hair into chow mein noodles spilling from a "rotting" to-go box, complete with cockroaches! For winter holidays, those with long enough hair can opt for stacked buns in the shape of a Christmas tree or snow man. Folks with short hair can opt for colorful spikes or just glitter. Even those with no hair can join in the fun by having their head painted
- We never use the same tools twice. Every customer gets a brand-new comb and accessories
Isn't a face painter cheaper?
- No! Our hourly rates are very much in line with the average face painting rate; sometimes less! We can offer each guest their choice of face painting, festival glitter, or glitter tattoos in the same amount of time, and for the same price that the average face painter charges for just one service.
- If you only have a few guests, or have time to spare, we can offer a wider range and more services per guest. This can include novelty hair, hair extensions, and more! However, we are happy to accommodate the needs of your event. Please email us details. We'd love to talk!
So, what do I get for my money?
- While we do occasionally participate in events that demand a pay-per-face model (charging guests per service), the best choice for most events is to pay hourly. When you book our services for your event, a partial, non-refundable deposit will reserve your time with us. This initial deposit covers the cost of customizing your event, which includes creating designs and purchasing the appropriate glitters, paints, hair colorings, hair extensions, and in some cases, creating custom glitter tattoos, as well as transportation for our artist(s). The remainder of your fee will be due upon arrival of the artist(s). Your guests pay nothing. We will bring everything that we need, including our umbrella cart (5x5 feet) or canopy booth (10x10 feet), if necessary. We will provide any services you have contracted, and clear out our space when our time is up.
How much is this going to cost me?
- It depends, but usually less than you'd expect and typically the same or less than other entertainers. Expect to spend at least a few hundred dollars for any type of entertainment. Some factors that contribute to cost include driving distance to your event, demand for our services on your requested date, time of day, how much preparation your event will require beforehand (like creating face painting designs, purchasing and creating specialized items, etc.), and the number of hours you wish to utilize our services. For precise pricing, you must email us details about your event.
I run a charity. Will you provide free services for my event?
- Usually, no. Giving back to our community is very important to us as individuals and as a business, but please keep in mind that we have many expenses that factor into our typical pricing aside from paying our artists for their work. We like to work with non-profit organizations that are providing exceptional service to their community; especially those involving children or animals. We also offer - where possible - a special no-contact service only to children's hospitals, or other organizations working with very ill children. Ask us for details. If you are able to offer us promotion or accommodations of any sort, this would make it much easier for us to offer a discounted rate. Please email us as soon as possible with details about your request and we will do our best to accommodate you and your guests.
What do you need to know about my event?
- When you email us, please give us as many details about your event as possible. Please include the following:
- Who - Will we be working with adults, children or both? How many in attendance will be utilizing our services?
- What - What type of event are you hosting? Which of our services do you wish to offer? Do you have a theme in mind?
- Where - Where is your event located? Will Angel Face be indoors or outdoors? In a house, church, business, hall or other venue?
- When - What is the date of your event and at what times will you require our services? Is your date flexible?
